Nanay cooked pocherong manok for dinner. I love pochero! I told myself I won't eat rice for dinner today, but when I got home and saw what's on the dining table, yun na! Sorry diet, we'll start tomorrow, okay? Hahaha

Red Velvet

I just love red velvet cakes/cupcakes! Last month, I chanced upon a deal on CashCashPinoy which was offering a 50% discount on Cheesecake Melliza's red velvet cake. I purchased the voucher and claimed the cake yesterday.

The verdict: so-so... I super love Cheesecake Melliza's revel bars and cheesecakes but their version of the red velvet cake ain't so yummy. I still think Karen's Kitchen's is the best.

Salmon Cakes

Had luch with my friend, Jem, at Pancake House. I had the salmon cakes with brown rice. I wasn't so happy with it. :(

Gamberetti

We ate lunch at Gorky's Pizzeria, a casual Italian bistro located along Pasong Tamo Extension. It was my first time to dine there. I had the (not so) spicy shrimp gamberetti plus a slice of Hawaiian pizza. The pasta's presentation could have been better, but the taste - I had no complaint. I loved it. Next time, I will try their alfredo.

Sunday Lunch

For lunch today, Nanay cooked sarsiadong baka at ginisang sigarilyas na may hipon. Both were so delicious, I had three rounds of rice. Paul had more. Hehe

Chicken & Mushroom

Paul and I grabbed dinner at Jollibee before heading home. He had the chicken and spaghetti meal + extra rice. I was planning on getting the same order but I saw a poster of the new product, chicken & mushroom spaghetti and got curious, so I tried it. I ordered a Coke float, too.

At a glance, it looked just like the regular jolly spaghetti minus the hotdogs. The chicken and mushroom were hardly visible. It didn't seem so delicious. But when I tasted it, man, it was good. Ground chicken and mushroom bits in bolognese sauce make a tasty combination. If the jolly spaghetti is very Pinoy-tasting (more on the sweet side), the chicken and mushroom spaghetti tastes very Italian. I like it. I'll definitely try it again. :)

Chamomile Tea

This morning, before heading to the office, I dropped by Starbucks to buy chamomile tea. I like its smell, so relaxing, I feel like I'm in a spa having aromatherapy. :) And oh, this is my 2nd sticker for the planner. 15 more to go. :)
